Slamcore Aware provides visual spatial intelligence for intralogistics fleets

Slamcore Ltd., a leader in spatial intelligence software, today announced the launch of Slamcore Aware - a breakthrough solution that applies advanced localization and mapping capabilities to manually driven warehouse and factory vehicles. Slamcore Aware promises to enhance logistics operations by providing robust, scalable 3D location tracking normally reserved for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

"Customers tell us they desperately need better location data to optimize warehouse and factory vehicle traffic for speed and safety," said Owen Nicholson, CEO of Slamcore. "Slamcore Aware brings the power of visual spatial awareness to almost any vehicle, in a way that scales easily and handles highly complex environments."

While autonomous robot fleets benefit from precise simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technologies, vehicles driven by human operators have lacked access to such spatial intelligence capabilities. Existing real-time location systems (RTLS) require expensive infrastructure installations that become ineffective as facilities grow larger and more intricate.

Slamcore Aware takes an "inside-out" approach, equipping each vehicle with stereo cameras and edge processing to continuously calculate its exact position and orientation down to the centimeter. The system builds a rich 3D map as vehicles move about, dynamically updating layouts and tracking the locations of objects, obstacles, and people.

This visual spatial data is processed on-board and streamed seamlessly to warehouse management systems via lightweight APIs. Facility operators gain new insights and levels of control over their intralogistics vehicle fleets without complex infrastructure requirements.

"Unlike traditional RTLS approaches that require hundreds of antennas across large facilities, Slamcore Aware scales simply based on the number of vehicles deployed," explained Nicholson. "As you add vehicles, you just add more spatial awareness modules for comprehensive coverage."

The ability to localize manually driven vehicles with AMR-level precision unlocks major efficiency gains. Optimized routing, traffic management, human-robot collaboration policies, and safety use cases all become viable when locations are known in real-time across an entire facility.

Slamcore has adapted its proven spatial intelligence stack – already deployed in AMRs globally – by combining its software development kit with industrial-grade hardware specifically designed for intralogistics vehicles of all types. The company's proprietary SLAM algorithms fuse visual, inertial, and ranging data to provide robust and highly accurate positioning.

While ADAS and autonomy remain long-term goals for many operators, Slamcore Aware can unlock data-driven optimization and smarter hybrid vehicle workflows today. The product highlights how capabilities pioneered for AMRs can have transformative impacts when extended to traditional fleets and human-guided equipment.

Slamcore Aware is available now through the company's system integrator and solutions provider partners. Slamcore will showcase the new product at MODEX in Atlanta and LogiMAT in Stuttgart over the coming weeks.
