The UAE has come up with an effective way to deal with drought. Scientists equipped the drones with lasers, the shots from which stimulated precipitation. Testing was carried out in the driest parts of the country and despite temperatures over 50 ° C, it did rain there.
The basic principle of this technology is that a drone, fired from a laser, charges a cloud with electricity, due to which water molecules combine, increase and fall to the ground in the form of rain.
The scientist explains that the drones are equipped with special sensors, thanks to which they are able to emit a charge of electricity and, flying at low altitudes, deliver this charge to molecules in the air, which should stimulate precipitation.
