MassRobotics returns as strategic partner for 2024 Robotics Summit & Expo

The nonprofit MassRobotics hub has signed on as a premier partner for this May’s 2024 Robotics Summit & Expo in Boston. The collaboration aims to strengthen event programming while highlighting New England’s booming robotics ecosystem on the global stage.

As both celebrates innovation and fuels it through business deals and talent recruitment, the Summit has quickly become a keystone gathering for the robotics industry since launching in 2016. For its first ever strategic partnership, organizers are now leveraging insights and network connections from MassRobotics - the world’s largest robotics startup incubator - to amplify regional leadership in pushing next-gen commercial technologies.

Showcasing Cutting-Edge Local Startups

A dedicated MassRobotics Pavilion will feature some of the most promising young companies graduating from its recent Accelerator cohort. Visitors can see pioneering work in areas like warehouse robotics, soft exoskeletons, AI simulation platforms, and advanced gripper systems while connecting startups with potential funders, clients, and partners critical to getting off the ground.

The nonprofit will also host multiple booths highlighting additional local startups alongside sessions on scaling robotics in healthcare where MassRobotics runs a dedicated program.

Demonstrating Student Prototypes Addressing Real Needs

Another highlight includes the nonprofit’s annual Form & Function Robotics Challenge calling upon university teams to create solutions balancing aesthetics and purpose. Past entries have run the gamut from nimble houseplant watering rovers to charming interactive toddler playmates. Visitors vote on favorites while judges award over $10K in prizes.

Corporate partners like Analog Devices and Mitsubishi supplied components allowing students to build highly capable designs. Participating helps them gain professional connections and interview opportunities before even graduating - a goal of the adjacent MassRobotics career fair as well.

Fueling Next Generation Robotics Advancement

Summit chair Steve Crowe called the MassRobotics partnership “invaluable, gathering technology and industry leaders powering the next generation of systems and services.” It comes as robotics jobs grow ever more crucial for global competitiveness across nearly every sector.

By fostering an open, collaborative community uniting ideas, technologies, and talent, MassRobotics has elevated Boston to an international robotics hub within just a few years. Tight integration with the 2024 Robotics Summit further cements these wins while offering partners an unparalleled stage demonstrating leadership and progress. Expect the nonprofit’s presence to help make the upcoming show Massachusetts’ largest, most impactful robotics event yet when doors open May 1st.
