NISKA - Melbourne's Exclusive Ice Cream Bar with Robot Staff

Experience the Future of Ice Cream with Robot Workers at NISKA.

Welcome to NISKA, Australia's first ice cream parlor with an exclusive robot staff. Our team has opened an exclusive ice cream bar at Fed Square in Melbourne's CBD, where you can meet our three robot assistants - Pepper, Eka, and Tony.

At NISKA, we believe that robots were designed to improve the overall quality of customer service. While robots are great for repetitive tasks, such as scooping ice cream, they cannot replace humans. That's why our robot assistants work alongside our human staff, allowing them to focus on providing excellent customer service.

So, how does it work? Pepper, who was developed by the Japanese company Soft Bank, is a humanoid robot that takes orders for ice cream. This popular robot can play with people, accept orders, and even recommend users to subscribe to our store's Instagram. Tony (kobot Yumi from ABB) and Eka (kuka LBR iiwa) are responsible for the hard work of maintenance and assistance.

Our team has worked with robotics companies ABB, KUKA, and Soft Bank Robotics, as well as engineering company Special Patterns, UNSW, and Phosphorus. The robotics consultant was led by Greg Sale, Director of the consulting firm, Production, Technology and marketing.

At NISKA, we adhere to the criteria of good Australian taste, ensuring that the ice cream prepared in our store is delicious and homemade. We also understand the importance of environmental friendliness, which is why we use bowls made of transparent polycarbonate and have a collection container for recycling.

NISKA is currently finalizing its work at Fed Square and is getting ready to serve you with our groundbreaking technology. Come and experience the future of ice cream with our robot workers at NISKA. Hire a robot for a delicious and unique ice cream experience today!
