Yarbo Secures $27 Million in Funding to Transform Yard Work with Robots

With the new funding, Yarbo plans to optimize its products, strengthen its supply chain.

Yard work could soon be a thing of the past as robotic company Yarbo announced the closure of its Series B funding round, raising approximately $27 million. The New York-based company plans to use this capital to scale up production and continue developing its innovative yard robots.

From Snow Removal to Complete Yard Care

Founded in 2015 as Snowbot, the company initially focused on solving the challenging problem of robotic snow removal. Since then, it has evolved into Yarbo, a comprehensive outdoor automation solution provider.

The company has shown impressive growth, with its 2022 crowdfunding campaign raising over $3.45 million. By 2024, Yarbo's direct-to-consumer pre-order campaign generated more than 6,000 orders. With this momentum, the company expects to see 4-5 times sales growth in 2025 as it expands across North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia.

Modular Design for Year-Round Use

What makes Yarbo unique is its modular "1+N" approach. The system consists of a core robot vehicle that accepts various attachments, including a mower deck, snow blower, and leaf blower. Most recently, Yarbo has added a trimmer module designed to reach edges and tight spots that conventional mowers can't access.

During its April livestream event, Yarbo sold 702 total units, including 284 trimmers, generating over $850,000 in sales within just two hours.

Future Developments

Yarbo continues to innovate with new features like:

  • "Follow Me" mode allowing the robot to visually track and follow users
  • Impressive 3,500-pound pulling capacity for moving firewood or garden carts
  • Quick-swap design enabling users to change components in under five minutes
  • HaLow-powered data center for better connectivity and coverage

The company is also developing modules for spraying liquids, moving garbage bins, picking up dog waste, and even harvesting fruit—all using the same core robot.

With the new funding, Yarbo plans to optimize its products, strengthen its supply chain, and accelerate talent acquisition as it works toward a potential public offering.
