Description

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in various industries- robotics, medical, and defense, with selecting COTS test equipment or developing custom testing solutions based on engineering test requirements Able to debug and root cause system/robot level failures and communicate results with other stakeholders Utilize both Python and C++ based utilities to review robot logs to access the acceptability of the behavior Python development of automation and data analysis Rapidly draft and edit manufacturing test documentation Experience working with manufacturing team members to create test plans and procedures for complex electromechanical assemblies on final assembly lines Ability to collect and present test data and report outcomes and corrective actions Self-motivated and able to work in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision Working knowledge of PLM tools- Agile/Arena, atlassian tools- JIRA, Confluence and data visualization tools- Tableau/BI highly preferred

Needed key skills
  • Technical Specialist
  • Robotics Technician
Responsibilities:

Debugging subassembly and full robot failures to provide RCA resolution to enable production or design engineering action Documenting the Debug and RCA process for other stakeholders Develop and update Manufacturing Test procedures based on operator feedback and new test development Analyze and repair production test systems to ensure production goals are met while keeping confidence in the test system Identify and implement test procedure and test system updates to improve test coverage or ease of testing Training production operators in the use and support of production test equipment, test programs, and debug processes Collecting and analyzing test yield and failure data to inform corrective action by suppliers or design resources

Bonuses

As a Test Engineer on the manufacturing operations team, you will be essential for debugging subassembly and robot end-of-line failures and implementing the test infrastructure for our Robotics Systems. Every day you will interact with the production, quality, manufacturing, and software engineering teams to ensure the appropriate test coverage and product performance for the electromechanical assemblies being designed for our robotics systems. To thrive in this role, you must be a hands-on and active member of the production test team to troubleshoot, sustain, and deliver detailed RCA on end-of-line failures in tight collaboration with engineering teams and you must be capable of understanding complex electromechanical systems and assemblies at a deep systems engineering level.
